I am interested in this trip and would like to get more information:

The Mardi Himal Trek is perfect for those who want to see other sights in Nepal besides the beautiful mountains. From remote monasteries to elephants and tigers in the jungle, Nepal has everything to offer.
With views of the Annapurna massif and Macchapuchare, the approximately one-week teahouse trek takes you from Pokhara up to Mardi Himal Base Camp at 4,200 metres above sea level. Here you will find metamorphic minerals and have a view from over 8,000 metres above sea level down to the Ganges plain.

Important information about the trip

Teahouse Trek: We sleep and eat in simple lodges along the way.

Highlights: Sunrise at Mardi Himal Base Camp, view from Annapurna at over 8,000 metres above sea level down to the Ganges plain at 150 metres above sea level.

Maximum altitude: 4,200 metres above sea level, Mardi Himal Base Camp

Inland journey: For this trek, we travel from Kathmandu to Pokhara, the second largest city in Nepal.

daily stages

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu

Namaste and welcome to Nepal! Immerse yourself in the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu.

Day 2

Transfer to Pokhara

We will travel to Pokhara either by plane or minibus, depending on the weather and your preferences. Once there, you will have time to try out the many restaurants and bars along the lake and enjoy the sunset over the lake.

Day 3

Pokhara to Kande and on foot to Deurali

We travel by car to Kande, the starting point of the trek. Together with our porters, we continue on foot to Deurali. With a bit of luck, we will catch our first glimpse of the 8,000-metre peaks of the Annapurna range.

Day 4

Deurali to Low Camp

From Deurali, the trail continues uphill through rhododendron forests to Low Camp at 3,050 metres.

Day 5

Low camp to high camp

We hike along a ridge and slowly leave the forest behind us as we enter more alpine terrain. The beautiful minerals that can be found along the way are a geological highlight. We spend the night at High Camp at 3,600 metres above sea level and enjoy the spectacular view from here.

Day 6

Sunrise at Mardi Himal Base Camp

We get up early and climb up to the base camp at 4,200 metres above sea level to watch the sunrise. We return to High Camp for breakfast and then descend to Badal Danda, where we spend the last night of our trek.

Day 7

Badal Danda to Sidhing

From Low Camp, the route descends to Sidhing (1,700 metres above sea level). From there, a jeep takes us back to Pokhara.

Day 8

Back to Kathmandu

It's time to head back to Kathmandu. If you haven't had enough, you can also spend a few days down in the jungle or try out one of the many outdoor activities in Pokhara.

Reviews

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to travel to the Rolwaling Valley with Natalie. She knows this area very well and is as connected there as if it were her home. Thanks to Nati, I gained an insight into Sherpa culture and experienced this beautiful valley at its best in a way I could never have imagined. An unforgettable and priceless experience for which I am very grateful – and can highly recommend!

Our tour in the Langtang Valley was an unforgettable experience!
Natalie from VoegeliTours picked us up at the airport and from then on everything was superbly organised. In addition to the breathtaking views and exciting landscape, it was a pleasure to listen to Natalie's explanations about the glaciers and river landscapes in the Langtang Valley. Highly recommended.
